His Brand New Same Old Budget Plan once again promises the blessings of unprecedented Tax Cuts for the wealthy, and more poverty, disease, and death for the rest of us.

The taxes Ryan wants to repeal all primarily impact the richest Americans and corporations. Repealing the repatriation tax, as Republicans have attempted multiple times since taking control of the House in 2011, amounts to a huge giveaway to corporations. And ending the AMT and investment taxes from the ACA while dropping the top income tax rate would give massive tax breaks to the rich. That isn’t surprising — it’s virtually identical to what Ryan attempted in last year’s budget, which he called the “Path to Prosperity.”

Ryan’s plan for income taxes, meanwhile, is similar to GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum’s, and the Tax Policy Center found that his plan would reduce total federal revenues by $900 billion a year. Though Ryan offered no specifics, it’s clear that to avoid blowing a hole in the federal budget, the GOP will have to make up lost revenue by raising taxes on the poor and middle class (or by ending tax breaks that primarily benefit them) or by taking the axe to vital safety net programs that the poorest Americans — including women, infants, and children — depend on the most. Again, that shouldn’t be surprising — this edition of Ryan’s plan is simply a worse version of last year’s “Path to the Poorhouse.”

Make no mistake, dismantling Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare will result in misery for millions of people. We know where this road goes, and so does Paul Ryan.

The House GOP is set to release it’s new budget plan, and boy is it a doozy.

House Republicans are preparing to introduce a 10-year budget Tuesday that will eliminate Medicare and replace it with a private insurance system that closely resembles the new health care law, and end Medicaid as an entitlement program all together.

That’s right.  If you’re depending on Medicaid for any of your medical care right now, Paul Ryan and the GOP would like to ask you to kindly fuck off.  They intend to hand the whole program over to the states in the form of block grants and allow the savages in the state legislatures to kick your goldbricking ass to the curb where it belongs.  Commie bastard.

Low-income Medicaid beneficiaries will lose their guaranteed benefits altogether. Currently, Medicaid is jointly financed by the federal government and states, which are required to provide comprehensive health care benefits to people in poverty. Ryan’s plan turns the program into block grants for the states — states get a bunch of cash from the feds and have to make the best of it. For many states, that will mean severe benefit rollbacks.

The sad part is, any of us still under the age of 55 will probably really miss Medicaid when it’s gone, because we won’t be able to afford health care at all even with the vouchers that the GOP want to give  people to “help” them pay for private insurance.

Future beneficiaries would no longer have a single payer system to rely on. Rather, they’d be given a menu of private insurance plans to pick from, and subsidies to help pay their premiums. If those premiums skyrocket, that’s on them. If the insurers themselves aren’t required to pay for whatever the doctor orders, then the guaranteed benefits will erode.

Recently Princeton economist Uwe Reinhardt — a respected health care expert — described the plan this way: “Under the defined contribution approach envisaged by the Rivlin-Ryan plan, most of the risk of future health-care cost increases would be shifted onto the shoulders of Medicare beneficiaries. This feature makes the proposal radical.”

Although, as a silver lining, I’m sure there will be a flood of disgustingly overpriced junk insurance scams just in time to suck up those voucher dollars and then turn them into GOP donations ten years from now.  Win win!!

Just remember that this is all absolutely necessary so that we can continue to give tax cuts to Corporations, who are already paying next to nothing, and to those Job Creating Oligarchs, whom we all depend on to take care of us.  If we don’t heap all of our unwanted human refuse on to the altar to be gutted and incinerated in their name, they may just pack up all those high paying jobs they’ve been holding just for us and head to China.

Let us not be tempted by the heretics who wish to sway the righteous with their dark powers of “numbers” and “math”.  Who strive only to discredit and smear the Great Plan as a ridiculous hoax designed to rob the masses and feed the rich.  Do not question the voice of Rand.
