Mike Huckabee on Sirius Satellite Radio talking about the reaction to his idiotic statements regarding President Obama’s childhood:

The reaction ranged from–this guy is so dumb he doesn’t know that Barack Obama grew up in Indonesia not Kenya–all the way to the other extreme-I saw people like Andrea Mitchell saying “Oh no, he did this on purpose.  He is very smart and shrewd.  He did this in a calculating way.”  Well Tim, I can’t be both. I can’t be the dumbest guy in the room and the smartest guy in the room at the same time.

Clearly Mike, you are not the smartest guy in the room.

Deliberately spouting racist dog-whistle bullshit about the President to help shore up your support among the mouth breathing birthers doesn’t make you look shrewd and calculating, it makes you look ignorant and racist.  So please Mike, keep digging your hole.  You might be able to win over the rage-drunk buffoons you call a base, but every step you take in their direction is one more away from the White House.

Colbert put Simple Mike on Notice the other day for being reasonable and not spouting his crazy idiocy while he was on The Report.

OK, he simply misspoke… for five minutes… about the Mau Mau revolution, which he evidently thought happened in Indonesia. The important thing isn’t where the Mau Mau revolution happened. The important thing is for people to start associating Barack Obama with the words Mau Mau..
