Steele Here

January 15, 2011

As we say good-by to the era of Michael Steele, I can’t seem to shake the feeling that it was all an elaborate and masterful piece of performance art.

... and we all fell for it!

May his epic mismanagement of the Republican party echo into eternity.

Yeah gotta wonder if he’ll snag a permanent position as “analyst” on FOX.

That’s a tough one. It would seem the logical move for a former RNC chair, but Steele isn’t exactly on good terms with the unwashed mobs. I’m sure he’ll be around, but my money is on some occasional CNN gigs more than FOX. We shall see…

Steele was horribly inept at appearing clever even when it was part of his job to do so, and he didn’t have anything much to distract him from it. When he’s just another boob commentator, spearing him through the head with a gotcha question will be like spearing salmon in your bathroom sink.

A small investment in a getup like you’ve pictured, and he could be a force to be reckoned with in those, “It’s so easy, a caveman could do it” commercials. Eaaaassy money, Mikey.
