The Conservative’s Seething Hatred of Open Democracy
on full display in WI and MI.
If you were legitimately surprised by this, then you haven’t been paying attention. The only thing surprising about what happened in Madison last night, is that it took this long for them to do it.
If Conservatives can’t bully or fear-monger to get what they want, then they just do it. Legal or not, it doesn’t matter, as long as it gets done. Damn the public and their “concerns”, they simply don’t give a fuck about democracy. Period.
For the record, billionaires fucking hate you. They cannot stand the thought of a group of dirty fucking rabble telling them that they have to pay taxes, or provide safe working conditions, or anything else for that matter. It is simply unacceptable to them, and they are willing to provide a sizable chuck of their ridiculously large fortunes to anyone willing to boot stop your fucking ass into submission. Thus began the Republican party.
The class war is real, and it’s about a hell of a lot more than fair wages and retirement, it’s about democracy and the fundamental right of people to act in union to wield political power for the good of their community. That’s what’s on the line in this fight, and as this movement goes nationwide just keep in mind that the rich are in it for blood. They’ve put a shitload of money and effort into waging this war for thirty years, and now that they’re on the verge of winning, they sure as hell aren’t going to let something as quaint as democracy get in their way.
